Intended Use

Breast prostheses are required for visual compensation and maintenance of body symmetry (weight compensation) after partial or complete removal of the breast following breast cancer or other diseases, as well as in cases of breast deformity or involution of the breast.

I am overjoyed to find this product as I have had a double mastectomy and am not even as I had a partial reconstruction on one side and battle all the time with differing weight and eeven ness. The above product ..how is it different from the others?

Answer

The Adapt Air is a very light weight product and has an Air sack incorporated into the form so that it can be adjusted to fit especially uneven chest walls or people with a fluctuating size to ensure you can maintain good symmetry at all times.

These forms will both have a pump in the box so do not worry. We do not give order numbers when you order over the phone.

ADAPT AIR LIGHT can this be worn with normal bras or does it move, do you think they will made a contact breast form which could be inflated like this new one?

Answer

We do not have plans to make the Adapt Air in a contact form as this would not inflate in the way it is meant to. the breast form can be worn in an unpockted bra and should not move if it is the correct size .

Hi, I have a concave chest wall so am quite interested in trying your adapt air form to get a closer fit between the prosthesis and chest wall. I have a size 3 3S at the moment. Im not sure whether to order the extra light or light. With small breasts the weight of the prosthesis isnt a problem but I would go for the lighter one if there is no difference in the shape and drape of the prosthesis? What do you think. Also is the air chamber large enough for the prosthesis to expand backwards into the chest wall or just forwards to create a bigger breast?

Hi Lorraine,

Sounds like the Adapt Air will be a good fit for you .Your current breast form 3S size 3 is symmetrical full shape .The adapt air only come in 2 different sahpes :

1sn -Shallow 

2sn -Avvargae shape - which you will need to order this one and maybe start with only Light weight not Xtra light .

I had partial surgery few years ago, would like to try an Adapt Air Light. I have an Amoena Balance 2D, ref 271, Size 5 I would like a bit smaller with option to increase. My bra size 38B, what size should I order?

Hi there , 

You will need to order Balance Adapt Air Medium Delta item code is MD223 which is still adapt air but breast form shaper but you had before.The bra size what you are from our chart is showing you will need size 6 but if you saying size 5 is to big than order size 4 .Don't worry if arrive and is not the right size we can always exchange for you without placing a new order.
