History Adapt Air
2019

Adapt Air Air-Chamber Technology

The Adapt Air is unique in that it allows a woman the ability to adjust her form for a personalised fit. The form uses our award-winning air chamber technology and comes with a special easy-to-use pump. A woman may increase or decrease the form to match the shape and volume of her unoperated breast. Perfect for weight fluctuation, lymphoedema or uneven breast development.
2015

Our breast forms gets even lighter

Introduction of the Xtra Light prosthesis, which is lighter by approximately 40% compared to a standard breast form of similar size. Women with a larger bust, or who suffer from lymphoedema or neck pain, find lighter breast forms much more comfortable to wear.
2008

COMFORT+ Technology

No more hot, sticky breast forms. Our patented Comfort+ technology regulates the temperature between a woman’s body and her breast form by absorbing excess body heat and releasing it as she cools down. Our technology reduces perspiration behind the breast form for cool, dry comfort all day long.
2004

PORTFOLIO EXPANSION WITH RECOVERY CARE PRODUCTS

The post-surgery care a woman receives affects the outcome of her procedure. Our Recovery Care line was developed specifically for the days and weeks after surgery to provide the best possible support for the healing process from the start.

Founding

Amoena’s journey began with Cornelius Rechenberg. His goal was to find a solution for women after breast cancer surgery that would be far superior to the makeshift bra fillers made of fabric or rubber which were available at the time. With a goal to provide women with a natural feeling  and looking breast form, Cornelius was the first to experiment with silicone forms.  His pioneering efforts produced the world’s first silicone breast form that set the standard in breast care and continues to be the prototype for the prostheses produced today.
