Go backAdapt Air Breast Form Wins Red Dot Award For Product Design
Adapt Air breast prosthesis, our latest premium breast care product, not only impresses our customers with its perfect fit and customized comfort, but also the jury of the renowned Red Dot Award.
Red Dot Award 2020 - Best Product Design
Launched a few months ago the Adapt Air breast prosthesis has complemented Amoena's premium product portfolio. The novel technology set standards in the industry and within breast prosthetics. The concept, which is designed to provide the highest possible wearing comfort and a natural appearance, was especially emphasized. With an integrated air chamber and a special pump, an Adapt Air prosthesis can be individually adapted to the chest wall and the natural silhouette of the user.
This shortens the fitting process in medical supply stores or in hospitals and if necessary, the wearer can change the volume herself whenever and as often as she wants.
The Red Dot Award jury presented the Adapt Air with the Red Dot Award 2020 for product design. The jury was impressed by the design, which was developed for maximum comfort and a natural appearance.
"We are very proud to have set a further milestone in our company history with the Adapt Air range. The consistently positive response from our customers clearly shows that we have met a need with this. Our research and development department and the entire Adapt Air team have done a great job and we are very pleased when such a renowned jury recognizes this." said Amoena Managing Director Stephan Wölfer.
The Red Dot Award has existed in its origins since 1955 and determines the best products each year. Manufacturers and designers from all over the world can submit their designs to the competition in 49 categories.
New Lightweight Silicone Breast Prosthesis
A high level of comfort is achieved by combining different technologies. The "Comfort +" technology promotes temperature balance between the body and the prosthesis reduces perspiration. Thanks to the use of special lightweight silicones, prostheses in the Adapt Air range are also available in two different weight classes, either 25 per cent or 40 per cent lighter than a conventional prosthesis of the same size.
Since the invention of the first film-covered silicone breast prosthesis, our mission has been to increase women's confidence after breast surgery and to guide and support them in their individual lives.
