Find out when and where our next Fit Specialist Training courses will be held.

Amoena workshops offer detailed, in-depth training that leads to a certificate for your professional portfolio. Devised by our product development team, who have over 40 years’ experience in post-surgery lingerie, breast forms and fitting techniques, the programme provides a comprehensive look at measuring and fitting, including an opportunity to find out more about new products and the latest technological developments from Amoena.

All our workshops include practical fitting demonstrations and practice sessions, for more focused study, and each programme allows for an informal forum at the end of the day, so you can exchange thoughts and learn from each other in a relaxed atmosphere.

Fit seminar dates and locations are subject to change. We make every effort to update the list as soon as a change occurs. See below to register.

Our Winter/Spring 2017/2018 Schedule is now posted. You can register using the links below.

Workshop 1 – Fitting post-surgery lingerie

This workshop is ideal for Amoena retailers but may also be of interest to breast care nurses who are new to the role.

It includes a brief introduction to Amoena; theoretical training on breast anatomy; an overview of breast cancer and the various types of treatment, and a look at some of the psychological aspects of working with newly diagnosed women. There will be practical fitting training with real models who have undergone breast cancer surgery and full product training on the Amoena portfolio, so that you can recommend the best product in any fitting situation.

Workshop 2 – Introduction to breast form fitting

Our Introduction to Breast Form Fitting course is designed for breast care nurses who are new to the post, as well as retailers who want to offer Amoena breast forms to their customers.

The course provides a step-by-step guide to breast form fitting, covering a range of surgery types, and we will look at some of the more complicated fitting situations you may come across too. There will also be an overview of lymphoedema and how the right breast form can help women manage the condition.

Workshop 3 – Advanced Fitting Skills

This workshop is aimed at experienced fitters and includes a condensed guide to fitting techniques to bring you up to date, but with greater focus on trouble-shooting and how to help patients with more intricate fitting requirements. The course also covers partial fittings which can be quite complex and we will show you the latest, simplified fitting technique.

We will look at how breast forms are changing to accommodate the latest surgery techniques, how to fit women who have had bilateral surgery and how to deal with more complicated fitting techniques such as dog-ear and high scarring.
