ATLANTA – In February, Amoena successfully launched a unique, patented design to its breast form portfolio – Comfort+ technology, and now is adding three additional breast forms to their Comfort+ collection. One addition is to the ‘Contact’ segment which provides an attachable breast form with skin-friendly pearl adhesive giving a woman more freedom, security and self-confidence. The next addition is to the ‘Natura’ segment that features a flowable gel back that fits gently and softly over scar tissue on the chest wall. And new to the collection, a breast form to the ‘Individual’ segment that features a customized moldable back layer that perfectly mirrors a woman’s chest wall with all the benefits of Comfort+ technology.
The breast forms with Comfort+ technology provide three product improvements incorporated into one breast form: soft, light, and dry. The new super-soft, ‘feels like cashmere’, outer film is combined with an innovative, light weight soft silicone formula which is up to 30% lighter than standard silicone breast forms in the same shape. Women stay drier and more comfortable with Comfort+ technology built-in to each breast form. This innovation helps to equalize the temperature in the microclimate around the breast form. The Comfort+ feature enhances wearing comfort by: 1) absorbing excess body heat from the chest wall during a rise in temperature which reduces overheating and 2) warming the body with the stored heat during a drop in temperature. Both effects reduce perspiration behind the form keeping the woman drier. The effect is observed by a color change indicator.
“Knowing how revolutionary Comfort+ technology is, we now have confirmation from thousands of women who wear and love these innovative products. The addition of three new breast forms in this collection broadens their choices to have an equalizing temperature feature that is easy and convenient to use.” says Beth Hohl, Breast Form Product Manager for Amoena USA. Phillip Sporidis, General Manager for Amoena USA says, “Expanding our Comfort+ collection to include these popular shapes, once again demonstrates our commitment to technological advances and Amoena’s commitment to continuously improve women’s quality of life after breast surgery.”
