Atlanta, GA – August 18, 2009 — Amoena, the worldwide leader in post-breast surgery products, presents “Beauty Endures,” the limited edition 2009 breast cancer awareness pin. The pin’s design is the work of writer and artist Mary Carroll Moore, herself a breast cancer survivor who was featured in the June 2009 issue of Amoena Life magazine.
This year’s pin features a Magnolia blossom, a symbol which, in Victorian times, was associated with dignity and beauty. “Magnolias are one of the first blossoms of spring, and they symbolize hope and emergence from the darkness of winter,” explains Moore. “The Magnolia is also an enduring symbol of tenderness and strength.”
All net proceeds from the sale of the lapel pins will be donated to breast cancer support organizations around the country. The pins will be available at participating Amoena retailers in September, 2009.
