Breast forms with Comfort+ technology

ATLANTA – Continuing its history of market leadership driven by innovation, Amoena, the worldwide leader in post-breast surgery products, adds a unique, patented design to its breast form portfolio – Comfort+ technology. This new technology provides the market with the first three-layer breast forms with a temperature-equalizing formula integrated directly into an additional layer in the silicone of the breast form. Comfort+ technology provides everyday comfort for the everyday woman.

The breast forms with Comfort+ technology provide three product improvements incorporated into one breast form: soft, light, and dry. The new super-soft, ‘feels like cashmere’, outer film is combined with an innovative, light weight soft silicone formula which is at least 25% lighter than standard silicone breast forms in the same shape. Women stay drier and more comfortable with the new Comfort+ layer. This middle layer helps to equalize the temperature in the microclimate around the breast form.  The Comfort+ layer enhances wearing comfort by: 1) absorbing excess body heat from the chest wall during a rise in temperature which reduces overheating and therefore perspiration behind the form, 2) warming the body with the stored heat during a drop in temperature. This effect is observed by a color change indicator. Comfort+ technology will be available in two Amoena breast form segments: Amoena Contact, an attachable breast form with skin-friendly pearl adhesive giving a woman more freedom, security and self-confidence; and Amoena Natura, breast forms that feature a flowable gel back that fits gently and softly over scar tissue on the chest wall.

“The key reason why I am so passionate about this exclusive new technology is because it has combined meeting our customer needs for convenience and comfort into an integrated high-technology carefree solution.  These products offer the highest performance with ease-of-mind simplicity” said Beth Hohl, Breast Form Product Manager for Amoena USA.

Phillip Sporidis, General Manager for Amoena USA says, “Once again we are proud to deliver industry leading, innovative products.  The Comfort+ breast form collection fulfills Amoena’s commitment to continuously improve women’s quality of life.”
