We know how important it is for our customers to see Amoena’s products worn by women who have had breast surgery. That’s why we have proudly shown breast-operated models in our catalogues and marketing campaigns for the past 10 years. We asked six of this year’s girls to tell us what their favourite Amoena styles are, and why.

Anna, 42, had a right mastectomy and reconstruction following her diagnosis aged just 34. She lives with her fiancé and her two sons and has modelled for Amoena for the past four years. As the ‘face’ of Amoena in the UK, Anna headed up our 2010 marketing and PR campaign, appearing in national, regional and trade press. A real jeans and T-shirt girl at heart, she chooses the Lara T-shirt bra, available in black, nude and ivory.

Beate is 51 and lives with her husband and 2 children in Stuttgart, Germany. She had a mastectomy in 1998 and is now a dedicated Contact wearer. Her busy job as a theatre publicity agent and her dedication to Yoga mean that she needs a breast form that she can forget about and just get on with her life. Beate chooses the Rebecca bra and brief set in feminine white lace for its feminine looks and great fit.

Eliane, 44, was operated on both sides and lives with her husband and her son in the Netherlands. She chooses the cotton-fresh feel of Angela in white - with its gentle moulded shape and wide comfy straps, she sees it as a T-shirt bra with benefits!

Maria is 58 and first modelled for Amoena in 2006, two years after her diagnosis. She lives in Dorset with her husband Peter and enjoys horse-riding and kayaking in her spare time. She is a firm believer in the need to show other women, particularly those recently diagnosed, that they can still look fabulous after breast surgery. Maria chooses the Isabelle camisole bra for its neckline-transforming versatility.

Annette, an artist and sculptor who lives in Starnberg, Germany, with her husband and three children, is 47. Following a recurrence in her original mastectomy scar, she underwent a bilateral breast operation. Annette was recently commissioned by Amoena to design the beautiful shell motif on the new, limited edition Contact Hope Eternal breast form. She chooses the Juliette bra and shorts in black for its touch of French glamour.

Martine is 59 and lives with her husband on the Dorset coast. A registered homeopath, she has published several books on health and wellbeing and is also an accomplished watercolour artist. French-born Martine has featured in many of Amoena’s recent marketing campaigns. She enjoys her holidays abroad and has chosen the Edinburgh tankini with its striking blue and white leaf print.
