Commitment to Excellence

Amoena management recently set the goal to reduce our carbon footprint by 25 percent within the next four years. In order to achieve this, we have established an aggressive course of action, which includes small changes such as printing on recyclable paper to larger efforts that will take time to complete, including the development of new eco-friendly products.
Some changes that consumers can anticipate to see in the near future include:

  • Printing Amoena Life on recycled paper and inviting readers to opt-in to receive an online only version.
  • Changing our packaging of breast forms and bras to utilize more recyclable material
  • Reducing the number of mailings in favor of electronic messages sharing Amoena news and promotions.
  • Also, each Amoena subsidiary has appointed a green ambassador to help us achieve our goal, and we plan to conduct company-wide “green investigations” to ensure we’re all following the new practices and have the resources in place to implement them. By our next ISO audit, we will issue a new corporate environmental policy and guidelines, adhering to the most up-to-date compliance standards and anticipating environmental changes in the resources we use and practices we follow. As we plan for the future, we are considering all environmental aspects of sourcing, from certification to textile dyeing.

“Amoena always has our customers’ best interests in mind when we make a new collection or innovate a current product,” Linke said. “Protecting the environment is an extension of our commitment to the women we serve. It’s not just the right thing we should do; it’s the necessary thing we are doing.”
